I’m Shannon, a Salt Lake City–based wedding photographer traveling to the Northern California Redwoods for weddings and elopements. I photograph with digital and 35mm film.
You can settle into the day knowing you’ll have gentle direction for portraits and space for everything that happens in between. The way you reach for each other. Your family’s happy tears. The dinner that goes a little longer because everyone is having such a good time.
Before the wedding, we’ll talk through locations, light, travel, and the moments that matter most to you. Together, we’ll build a photography timeline that gives those moments room.

Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, and Redwood National Park are places to consider as you explore Northern California. We’ll look at approved ceremony options and practical travel time before building your photography plan.
For a larger guest list or a reception setup, a dedicated wedding venue may be a better starting point. Forest portraits can be part of the plan when access and permissions allow.

Do you photograph both Redwoods weddings and elopements?
Yes. I travel for both weddings and elopements in Northern California. Share what you’re planning, from private vows to a celebration with family and friends, and we’ll talk through the right coverage.
Can you help us choose a location and timeline?
Yes. I offer location guidance and photography timeline assistance. We’ll consider your guest count, available light, and travel between locations. Final location approval and permits are handled by the park or venue.
Can we include the coast in our wedding photos?
We can explore that together. It depends on your forest location, the coastal spot, road conditions, and coverage. We’ll plan the drive and portrait time before committing to both.
Are digital and film photographs included?
Yes. Wedding and elopement collections include digital and 35mm film photography, delivered together in your personal online gallery.
What if we haven’t chosen an exact date?
A month or season is enough to begin the conversation. Add that to the date field on my inquiry form, along with any location ideas you already have.
