When Maddy and Drew reached out wanting to book an engagement session, I knew we had to re create their first shoot with me. I met these two a few years ago when they first moved to Utah from Michigan! Small world. Ever since that first shoot, we have kept in touch.

We started the shoot at Storm Mountain. This is one of my absolute favorite spots in Big Cottonwood Canyon. The view is beautiful and there are huge rock slabs on both sides of this overlook that make for some awesome shots.

Climbing up to the top was a little tricky but we managed and it was 100% worth it. We stayed at the top for a short while until it started to snow, then we made our way back to the car and drove up the canyon to our next location.

Our second stop was Jordan Pines. This location looked like a winter wonderland! There were thousands of beautiful pine trees covered in snow and the sounds of birds chirping and running water was just so comforting. I could have spent all day here.

We took some fun snowball fight photos and cute ring shots in the snow for a while. Then made our way back to the main parking lot to warm up in the car before heading out to the third and final location. My first shoot with Maddy and Drew was in the fall so it was really cool to see how much the seasons change in the canyons. In the fall time this location is full of orange and red trees with winding roads and hiking trails.

Our final location was just off of the main road. The view from this spot was just as pretty as the others though.

Winter engagement session, complete!
