Engagement session in Provo Canyon.

This past weekend I photographed an engagement session in Provo Canyon. Provo Canyon is located in Provo, Utah and if you’re ever in the area, I highly suggest doing some exploring. This canyon offers many beautiful backdrops like this overlook of the winding road, waterfalls, and many hiking trails.

The weather was so warm and cloudy which is perfect for photos. We started the session off just past the main parking area and had a really cool view of the winding main road. Even though we are just passing winter so the trees were still pretty bare, the canyon was starting to show a little bit of color.

Next we moved over to an open field. This had a beautiful view of the snowcapped mountains. I could have sat there all evening just watching the mountains turn pink and purple with the sunset at the end of our session.

After this we moved up the mountain just a little more. This spot also had a great view of the road. We took a few extra mins to just take in the view because this couple is new to Utah, and they had never been to Provo canyon before.

It was about the end of our session by this time so we decided to make our way back to the parking lot. On our way back we stopped along the trail for a few more photos, I love how this canyon looks so different from all angles.

For a few last photos we found a really cool fence on the other side of the parking lot. These might be my absolute favorite shots of the day.
