If you’re wanting a minimal but beautiful location, I highly suggest planning your engagement session at the Utah Salt Flats.

What to Wear for a Salt Flats Engagement Session

Josh and Heather chose the perfect outfits for the location. Heather wore 2 different dresses. A casual white dress and a flowy black dress, while josh matched the vibe and kept it timeless in similar style and color outfits. When selecting outfits for a session like this, I recommend:

• Neutral or earth tones
• Flowing fabrics for movement
• Comfortable footwear (but we can go barefoot, too!)

Tips for Planning Your Engagement Session at the Salt Flats

If you’re considering a shoot at the Bonneville Salt Flats, here are a few tips:

1. Time it Right: Golden hour is everything out here. Plan to start shooting 1–2 hours before sunset.
2. Check the Weather: Rain can turn the flats into a shallow mirror—stunning for reflections, but trickier for walking.
3. Bring the Essentials: Water, sunscreen, and a towel to wipe off your feet afterward.
