Obtain a Special Use Permit
All weddings and elopements in Canyonlands national park require a special use permit. To obtain the correct permit visit the National Park Service website to apply. You will need to submit your application at least 4 weeks before your ceremony and a small fee may apply.
You’ll need a Utah marriage license to make your elopement official. Visit any Utah county clerk’s office (Moab is the closest option), bring a photo ID and be prepared to pay a small fee of approximately $50, then you’re all set. There’s no waiting period, so you can marry the same day!
