Couples Session in Salt Lake City, UT.
When Lexi and Jon reached out about booking a couples session I was so excited! She gave me the green light to completely plan out everything. From their outfits down to the location, it was totally my call so going into this shoot, I was so excited for it all to come to life. Pro tip, you can never go wrong with solid neutral color clothing. I also try to keep to a 3 color rule so in this case I chose black, tan, and white. Neutral color clothing helps ensure your outfits will always match the location and with just 3 colors its also easy to pick cute almost matching outfits with your love.
Along with the iconic Wasatch mountain views, Salt Lake City also has some amazing architecture. For this couples session I really wanted to showcase how beautiful down town is. We started the shoot at an apartment complex that looked like it was straight out of an early 2000’s romcom and to top it all off, a cute little orange tabby cat was watching us from a kitchen window as we took photos on the walk way leading up to the building’s main doors.
I feel like this spot would be such a great location to just sit and read or listen to music, maybe even have a little picnic with your friends or significant other. The building just had so much character.
After saying good bye to our new tabby cat friend we decided to take a little walk around the next block and of course we found so many more cute old homes and places to stop for photos. There were cherry blossom trees starting to bloom and the sun was just starting to set which made for some really great golden hour shots.
